HOW TO USE AROMATHERAPY, ESSENTIAL OILS FOR A STRESS FREE, CALM CHRISTMAS

Yes, the count down has begun – all little children and of course us big children will start opening our advent calendars. However, this can also be a time of extreme stress and worry for alot of grown ups so below you can find out just how ESSENTIAL OILS and AROMATHERAPY can help you achieve a happy, calm, stress free festive season.

CANDLES :

You can achieve a real sense of calm and well being burning essential oil candles in your room. These can be brought online here at candles or you can make your own. Burn an ordinary candle for a few minutes until you have a liquid pool of wax and then drop a few drops of your favourite essential oil into this pool. A great blend to use for candles is :
6 drops Mandarin
1 drop Geranium
1 drop Cinnamon

BATHS :

sensous or sleep ready blended Massage Oils.

All the methods above can help you achieve a happy, calm wonderful stress free Christmas.

Below I have given you some other ideas in which you can use essential oils at Christmas.

pine_cones.jpg
PINE CONES

Place a few pine cones in a bag. Soak cotton wool in cypress oil and place in the bag – seal and leave overnight. Take cones out and use.

WRAPPING PAPER

Place essential oils on cooton wool, place in bag with your paper. Use oils like Lavender, Geranium or Cinnamon  etc. for women and oils like cedarwood or frankincense  for men and mandarin or orange for children.

FIREWOOD

Add one drop of oil to each log you are planning to burn. Allow enough time for the oil to penetrate the wood before placing it on the fire. As the essential oils are inflammable use only one drop per log.

MULLED WINE

Add a few drops of oils like, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove etc. into red wine. Bring to the boil and simmer. Try this recipe in a litre of red wine -
Blend the following essential oils into a little honey

1 drop Cinnamon
1 drop Clove
2 drops Orange
2 drops Mandarin.
Slowly heat together

ORANGES

Most of us have studded the outside of an orange with cloves to make Christmas decorations but have you noticed that the orange will not go off – thats because clove is a natural preservative. If you would like a stronger and longer lasting aroma roll the outside of the orange in clove oil first.

COOKING
Spices are the order of the day at Christmas and the following are just perfect

Cinnamon, Clove, Nutmeg, Ginger and Cardamon.

INDIGESTION

After all the eating and drinking most of us will get indigestion at some time over the festive period. Its a good idea to go for a walk after you have eaten a big meal but if you do suffer with indigestion drink a cup of Peppermint tea. These can be brought in good health shops and supermarkets and really do work.

MOST OF ALL EAT, DRINK & BE MERRY

AROMA NATURAL wishes all its customers, new and old
