ACNE - Treating with Essential Oils

Acne is a disorder of the sebaceous glands that causes clogged pores and pimples on your face and occasionally on your back, neck and chest. The sebaceous glands produces too much sebum which combined with dead skin cells block the pores. The pores then become infected (most often with bacteria) creating more inflammation.

Luckily, acne can be usually successfully treated without having to use harmful chemicals and drugs simply by using essential oils and herbs. Essential oils treat acne externally to help clear up the infection and reduce the amount of sebum being produced. Massage can also help to improve the circulation and help the body to eliminate toxins.

 Possible Causes :
Hormonal imbalance
Pre-menstrual syndrome
Bad diet
Stimulants i.e tea, coffee, chocolate & alcohol
Sometimes dairy products especially cheese & cream
Stress can make the condition much worst

Always use pure, natural products to cleanse and moisturise your skin and keep to a non-toxic diet. Treatment many need to be continued for several weeks and even months and in some cases the condition may look worse initially – so dont give up and think the oils do not work.
